Finding my way…

I’m going to try popping on my vulnerability toque here for a second…

I don’t know that I’ve ever admitted this, but I sometimes struggle with who I am in this space. The internet. Or at least feel like I had been, until recently. Thanks to a lot of personal work [still plenty to be done], I am starting to come out of this strange fog and find my footing. Recently I’ve been thinking… I know that I am a wildlife and nature photographer, without a doubt, but does that mean that I can’t share hiking tips? My thoughts on outdoor gear? Reviews from products that I’d recommend [or not]?

I’ve gone back and forth… How vast a net can I cast without confusing those who choose to follow me? Are they just following for the photos and will choose to leave?

--- Then I remember, I am a multifaceted human with a passion for our planet.
Which translates into walking many different paths. The more I’ve sat and pondered what I’d like to share here with you all, the more I’ve realised that it’s all connected! The gear we use creates an impact on our planet. How we choose to hike or travel, much the same. Living the Leave No Trace lifestyle in the outdoors affects the wildlife and so on, and so on.

My end goal is to create images that celebrate our planet, yes, but I want to ensure that I do so responsibly and consciously. I want to be responsible for the footprints I leave, digital and otherwise, and I want to inspire others to do the same.

All this to say that you may see some content changes around here. I’m excited!
It won’t happen overnight, and it won’t be a complete 180 but instead, a magical pairing! You will still find unique and beautiful fine art prints here, and it is still fully my intention to create images that celebrate our planet. So, any changes that you do see will include deep purpose, responsibility, and care. I’d like to be more open about what that looks like.

So, welcome to my little slice of the internet… Version 2.0!
Thank you community, for being here and being a part of it!
