I’m Allison,

One of my greatest joys is nature, which stems back to when I was a kid. Growing up in the mountains, it didn’t take me long to fall in love with the outdoors, as well as all the incredible animals and birds that call the mountains home. I grew into my love of exploring on family camping trips and spending time outside with my friends.

That love of exploring, combined with my truest passion, photography, is where the magic happens. In case you were wondering, my interest in photography started when I was young, my Mum would let me muck around on her old 35mm [sorry for wasting all that film Mum], until, when I was 12, I was gifted a camera of my own. It was an old brick of a thing, but became my greatest tool in exploring my creativity.

1987

1999

My Mum gets sick of me wasting all her film taking less than average photos and buys me my first ever camera! I think it’s safe to say this is where the obsession started…

After a gap year, I decided to go to university for graphic and web design. I spent as much of my time outside of school in the outdoors and doing fun stuff with my mates!

2006

Started travelling, met my partner and have been living overseas and travelling ever since. Luckily we both love camping, being in the outdoors and exploring wherever we go!

2009

Things changed. COVID lockdowns gave me a greater passion for wildlife and bird photography than I could have ever expected. So much so that this business was born!

2020

Which brings us to today! I could not be more passionate and excited about what I’m creating and sharing with you all. I cannot wait to see where we go next!

2024

My intention is to bring stories to life through images, while respecting the world around us, and bringing awareness to issues facing our planet. I try to stop and ask myself, what I am trying to accomplish while I’m here? More often than not, it’s about creating images and writing words to inspire a connection between the subject and surroundings. I hope every one takes you on a journey and helps you feel inspired to experience your own backyard and to explore your own creativity.

The world can feel big and disconnected at times, so while I am here to share my journey, I’m also here to hear yours and to help create the visuals that go along with it. Let’s celebrate all of the small moments in a raw and real way.
